During the July 2005 London bombings, Lucent found the combination of Travel Security Manager, World Watch® and Global Monitoring extremely helpful management tools. “ASI Group provided us with timely, succinct and up-to-date intelligence that morning. We knew what was known and what was happening, particularly with our employees who were traveling through London at the time. The quick response was possible because of the communications we had already set up with ASI Group and the partnership with our travel agencies. In minutes, we were able to determine any possible exposure. The system worked exactly how it was designed to in the event of a crisis.”

The ASI Group Travel Security Manager (TSM) is a comprehensive management tool that tracks travelers’ itineraries and incorporates state-of-the-art content and communications features into one complete package. Organizations that use multiple travel management companies will especially benefit from TSM’s ability to combine reservation data from a multitude of sources into a single database.
With TSM, corporations can easily:
- Pinpoint the location and track travelers across the globe
- Combine data from multiple travel reservation systems
- Send briefings, travel policies, alerts and emergency contact information automatically
- Notify key personnel of specific trips
- Determine number of employees on a particular flight
Traveler information is easily accessed through the graphical map interface or one of the many standard reports available on the system. Users can also build and save their own reports that are constantly updated with the latest reservation data.
TSM includes briefings on hundreds of cities around the world that can be automatically distributed to travelers. Organizations can also incorporate their own content into the system, such as a 24-hour Emergency Call Center or even driving directions to a corporate facility within the city.
The ASI Group Travel Security Manager captures the itineraries of traveling employees from reservation systems such as Saber, Amadeus, Galileo, Abacus and others and allows travel and security departments to sort the information to meet their specific needs. Users can sort by date, city, country, associate name, airline, flight number, city threat level or hotel. Furthermore, this information is kept current.
TSM is updated every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and can be accessed via a secure Website from anywhere in the world.
TSM includes tools that allow security departments to better monitor the travel activities of travelers as well as senior executives. In addition, the communication tools will allow for the automatic “pushing” of vital safety and security information to associates before they depart on a trip.
Notification Tree: With the notification tree, key personnel will automatically be informed of a pending trip to a specific location. For example, travel or security departments may be automatically notified whenever a high-profile executive is traveling or an employee has booked a reservation to a high-risk or any international location.
Travel Advisory Services: TSM can automatically distribute location-specific travel policies and information to travelers. Additionally, an ASI Group Travel Security Specialist is available to assist clients in developing individual advisories or serve as an advisor for the development of a comprehensive system of advisories.
Travel Briefings: The ASI Group Travel Security Manager can automatically distribute location-specific briefings to travelers based on a specific itinerary. Criteria can also be set for which briefings will be distributed (e.g.: travelers to high-threat destinations).
Signatures: As with many e-mail systems, the ASI Group Travel Security Manager allows for the automatic inclusion of contact information in all communications to travelers. Important information such as a 24/7 Emergency Call Center or a local contact can be included in all messages on a global basis. The system can automatically inform the traveler to visit the World Watch® site on the company Intranet to obtain more detailed information.
