The Corporate Traveler Security Training (CTST) program teaches international and domestic travelers how to recognize and reduce risks, and respond to unforeseen events.

CTST training covers potential risks that include theft, kidnapping, sabotage, extortion, harassment, illegal trafficking and acts of terror. Due to the ever-increasing number of female international business travelers, our program also contains very specific security information for women concerning entrapment, rape and methods to thwart such attacks.

Attending CTST allows travelers to take a fresh look at travel habits. After better understanding personal weaknesses and vulnerabilities, travelers can incorporate new behaviors that will reduce risk and ensure a safe and secure trip.

Our training program provides the tools, tips and techniques that will help travelers confidently answer these questions and many more.

  • Do you know how to identify potential dangers or red-flag situations in an unfamiliar environment?
  • Do you know how to protect proprietary information?
  • Do you know what actions to take if you identify suspicious activity?
  • Do you know what to do if you encounter a corrupt official in another country?
  • Do you know what actions to take in the event of a terrorist attack?
  • Do you know how to respond to a crisis situation?

Training Program Details and Our Approach

CTST is a one-day, on-site training program designed for 25 to 50 participants, although we impose no minimum or maximum attendee numbers.

All CTST presentations are unique. An instructor works very closely with the client to design a program based on specific corporate needs. ASI Group considers industry type, location of headquarters, intended destinations, en-route stops and areas of proposed operation. Instructors introduce and explain threat levels for the designated countries, the role of embassies, and what to expect from local authorities.

Modules may include the following:

  • “Know Before You Go” Logic
  • Preparing for Your Trip: Securing Your Home and Your Family
  • Understanding the Concepts of Preventive Security
  • “Complacency Leads to Vulnerability” Philosophy
  • Identifying Threats and Minimizing Associated Risks
  • Recognizing Your Adversary: Planning Your Defense
  • Discerning the Formula: Threat x Vulnerability = Risk
